At the end of my interview with a Svaroopa yoga instructor, she folded her hands in front of her heart and said, “Namaste.”
I asked what Namaste meant, assuming it was something like “hello and goodbye” or “peace be with you.”
Here’s what the yogi said Namaste means:
“I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of truth, love, peace and light. When you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, we are One.
Between Namaste and hearing that Svaroopa yoga can help me grow up to an inch taller, I enrolled in her class. Although I’m not taller yet, I am getting in touch with that place in which you and I are of truth, love, peace and light. So we can talk.
Namaste.
